What Palau e-residency actually is
Palau e-residency is a digital residency and identity program connected to the Republic of Palau and issued through RNS.ID. RNS describes the Palau ID as a government-issued identification card for approved digital residents. The product is not a passport, not citizenship, and not a magic replacement for every local proof-of-address or compliance requirement.
The practical appeal is simple: you can apply online, pass identity checks, and if approved, receive a physical Palau ID card. RNS also describes an on-chain legal identity component called LDID, but the physical card matters most for many real-world checks.
Who this site is for
This site is built for three groups: people comparing e-residency programs, digital nomads who want a second legal ID, and crypto users researching whether a Palau ID can help with exchange KYC. Those audiences overlap, but they have different risks.
If you only want the shortest route, start with the Palau digital residency cost guide, then read the requirements guide, and finally check the crypto KYC guide if exchange verification is your main reason.
The conversion point
The official application happens at RNS.ID. We link there with an affiliate referral URL, which may give us a commission if you buy. The commission does not change the basic advice on this site: do not apply unless you understand the cost, review timeline, KYC limits, tax limits, and passport limits.
